The Basic course must have been taken and passed successfully before attempting this course.

The Level 2 is a further step in the study of Stage Combat. This course is similar to the basic course in as much as three weapon systems are studied and the examination requires a presentation in a dramatic context with a text. The weapon systems must comprise a two handed weapon system (normally a quarterstaff or two handed sword), a shield system (Rapier and buckler, Broadsword and shield for instance) and the last weapon system is left to the discretion of the teacher. It can be knife, Broadsword etc. - providing it is not one of the weapon disciplines used by the student in their Level 1 examination.

Exam Grades: Fail, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Distinction
